Hey trail-heads,

Last week, a friend and I did a loop in one of the nature preserves to see the condition of the trails. About half of the trails were dry enough to ride but a lot of them were still underwater. On the other hand, we got to see a whole bunch of critters! Among those spotted were an otter, a couple of alligator snouts and at least a dozen deer (one being a four pointer). We also got within 10 feet of one guy who was either the smartest or the dumbest deer ever, he never moved! Also spotted were a bunch of wild turkeys, they can run at 14 mph. because they ran the trail ahead of us for quite a distance and naturally a whole bunch of pigs. The final mapping of the big loop will have to wait a little longer until it dries out a bit.
